These popular Electro-Warmth® bed warmers are more efficient and durable than electric blankets. Bed warmer is placed on mattress so you sleep on it. Bed warmers are nice for preheating bed in a cold room. Use bed warmer all night when you are cold or sick. A warm bed may help when you have the flu or a cold. Bed warmer drives dampness out of bedding. Save on heating bills by lowering house thermostat at night. There is no heat under the pillow area.

The quiet thermostatic comfort control cycles on and off to maintain temperature you set, even if room temperature varies. The rated watts is for full on at highest setting. Average use is about 50% of the watts or amps. So on a 12 volt system, the drain will be about half the amp rate. The wattage on Dual (D) control models is half for each side. 12 volt model is great for independent energy homes, RVs, truckers, campers. The 12 volt model has been a favorite for over 30 years. The 115 volt AC models will operate on true sine wave inverters but not on Modified Sine wave or Modified Square wave inverters.

Most models are made of two sheets of fine weave, pre-shrunk poly/cotton cloth quilted together and padded with bonded polyester fill. Most bed warmer models are 5’ long and are hand washable. Do not fold bed warmer over. Keep it flat.

Fitted bed warmers vary in length and width and must match your bed in length and width. The fitted warmers have a 14" skirt all around the warming section with elastic all around the skirt to hold the warmer in place on mattresses up to 12" thick. For $18 an optional deeper skirt is available for mattresses over 12" thick. Please let us know your total mattress thickness when ordering the deeper skirt.

Some of the smaller models can be used on an adjustable bed with two independent mattresses making up the complete size of the larger mattress. For example: If a king size adjustable bed used two Twin size mattresses to make up the king size mattress, the fitted model M38FL could be used on one of the Twin size mattresses.

This 12 volt model has a round cigarette lighter plug. It is commonly used in off-grid homes, RVs, campers, Sleepers on semi-trucks, anywhere there is 12 volt DC power available. Bed warmer has tabs around the edge for safety pinning to the mattress. Bed Warmer is 60" long by 36" wide and can be used for a twin sized mattress or on one side of a king-sized mattress.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ELECTROWARMTH® BEDWARMERS

Q: What is the difference between an ElectroWarmth® bedwarmer and an electric blanket?
A: An electric blanket is used as a covering, the bedwarmer is used under the bedding. You sleep ON it, not UNDER it. The bedwarmer attaches directly to your mattress and is covered up by your normal bedding. ElectroWarmth® bedwarmers are much more energy efficient than an electric blanket because of the way they are used. Your covers hold in the heat that rises from below. The heat from an electric blanket rises from above you and escapes into the room.
Q: My home heating costs are high, will this warmer cost me more for electricity?
A: No. In fact, with an ElectroWarmth® bedwarmer, you can turn down the heat in your home during the night and still sleep comfortably. By turning down the heat in your home, you will not only save on heating fuel costs, but your furnace blower, refrigerator and freezer will also run less in a cooler house. This will help reduce power costs.

Q: How do I know what size I need?
A: The model number of each warmer indicates its width. For fitted bedwarmers, you need to match the warmer to your bed size in both width and length. The warming pad can be narrower but not wider than your mattress.

Q: What do the bedwarmers look like?
A: The bedwarmers very much resemble a mattress pad. They are made of white material, and are about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. The fitted models are like a fitted sheet and have extra cloth at the head of the bed that allows the warmer to cover the entire mattress, and has a skirt with elastic all around the warmer to hold the warmer in place. The warmers are quilted around the heating wires. This is done in such a way that you do not feel the wires when you are laying on the warmer. The 12 volt models has several cloth tabs sewn around its border with which you safety pin (pins are provided) the warmer to your mattress.

Q: Are ElectroWarmth® bedwarmers washable?
A: It is recommended that ElectroWarmth® bedwarmers be hand washed. They are electrical devices that can be damaged in a washing machine. Since the bedwarmers are used underneath your bed coverings, there is not much need to clean them on a regular basis.

Q: Are they safe if something is spilled on them (or a child wets the bed)?
A: Yes. The heating element wires within the bedwarmers are shielded. In the case of bed wetting, there is also a cleanliness issue. We recommend covering the bedwarmer with a rubber sheet that can be purchased at stores such as Wal-Mart. The rubber sheet will help keep the bed warmer clean and will reduce the need to clean it regularly.

Q: How does the bed warmer stay in place under the covers?
A: T Model 12 volt Mattress Pad: Each bed warmer has a series of cloth tabs all around the outer edges. A bag of large safety pins is supplied with which the bed warmer is secured to the mattress using the tabs. This will help keep the bedwarmer flat which will allow it to function properly for many years.
A: Fitted Model: The fitted bed warmer is very similar to a fitted sheet in that it covers the entire mattress and is held in place using elastic all around the skirt of the bed warmer.

Q: Can I use a bed warmer on an adjustable bed?
A: Absolutely! The fitted models are recommended, and work very well. In fact, customers using adjustable beds represent one of the largest percentages of bed warmer users.

Q: Does the Comfort Control temperature control make a clicking sound when you change the temperature setting?
A: No. The temperature control is very quiet and transitions smoothly from one temperature setting to another.

Q: What sort of warranty is there?
A: ElectroWarmth® bed warmers come with a full one year guarantee. If anything goes wrong with the bed warmer during that first year, it will be repaired or replaced as the factory deems necessary. After the year warranty has expired, low-cost factory-direct service is available if it is ever needed. ElectroWarmth® bed warmers are high quality products and have very few problems. Some people have had the same bed warmer for 30 years without need for maintenance.

Q: In my electric blanket, I can feel the heating wires and they are uncomfortable to me. Are the heating wires in an ElectroWarmth® bed warmer uncomfortable as well?
A: Absolutely Not! The heating wires used in ElectroWarmth® bed warmers are quilted into the padding of the warmer in order to make them undetectable when you are sleeping.

Q: What do you recommend for young children or elderly people?
A: We recommend that the person using the bed warmer be able to adjust the temperature control and be able to know what to do if they are too warm. We do not recommend the bed warmer for children under the age of 5.

Q: I am a Massage Therapist, can I use a bed warmer on my massage table?
A: Yes, the massage table warmer allows the therapist to lower the room temperature for a cooler working environment, while keeping the client comfortable and relaxed.

Q: I have a large mattress (Queen or King) and my partner likes to be cool and I like to be warm. Can you help?
A: Absolutely! The larger models are available with dual Comfort Controls. This allows each person to select the temperature they want.

Q: I am a truck driver and I have to keep my engine idling while I sleep in order to stay warm, do you have anything that I can use to stay warm without having to keep my engine going?
A: Yes! "T" model was designed with truck drivers in mind. The cord is 10 feet long which gives you plenty of length to reach from the cigarette lighter socket to your bunk. This allows you to sleep comfortably without having to idle your truck. The bed/bunk warmer will pay for itself in just a couple days in fuel savings alone. You will also be cutting down on air pollution from the exhaust fumes from your truck. The bunk warmers are in use all over the United States by many trucking fleets.

DOCTORS RECOMMEND ELECTROWARMTH® BEDWARMERS

Doctors agree that to get well, and stay well, older people in particular need plenty of rest. Doctors also agree that for many people, becoming chilled while sleeping can be a potential health hazard. When you are in a hospital you are generally kept in a warm, dry bed, on a 24 hour basis. The doctor will prescribe a course of treatment, and the treatment will generally include warm bed rest.

You can also enjoy this warm bed rest at home if your bed is equipped with an ElectroWarmth® bed warmer. People who are most likely to follow their doctor's advice about taking medicine and keeping warm often become chilled while sleeping due to changes in room temperature and excessive loss of body heat because the bedding has become damp. If the bedroom air is always dry and warm, and the bedding is changed everyday, as is done in the hospital, the chances of becoming chilled are slight. In the private home where the bedroom often cools off at night, and where the bedding is not changed daily, an ElectroWarmth® bed warmer is needed for three important reasons:

To drive the dampness from the bedding which builds from the normal nightly perspiration of about one pint per person. To do this, heat needs to be supplied to the inside of the bedding on a 24 hour basis. This heat drives the moisture to the surface of the bedding where it can evaporate into the bedroom air.

A large heating capacity is often needed to maintain full body warmth and comfort in very cold weather, or for quick warm up if one goes to bed already feeling chilled. When it gets really cold, no other bed warming appliance for home use can put heat in the bed as fast as an ElectroWarmth® bed warmer.

The ElectroWarmth® bed warmer, which goes directly on the mattress, provides year round protection from becoming chilled while you sleep. Many electric blankets are fully automatic, but their usefulness is quite limited because they are too heavy (double blankets with wire inside) for mild weather use. It is during the spring, fall, and summer, when the weather is changeable, that you may retire under only a sheet and awaken with a sneeze.

Doctors recommend ElectroWarmth® bed warmers because they dry the bedding and protect the user from becoming chilled at night, on a year-round basis.
