PRI-R
– The Industry Leading
Emissions Control Agent
•
Simultaneous Reduction
-
PRI-R’s unique chemistry
works during combustion to simultaneously reduce all of the emissions that
are currently under scrutiny, including NOX, SO2, CO,
and smoke opacity. You no longer need to take separate measures to control
each of these emissions products.
• Control Without Sacrifice -
PRI-R provides its
emission control benefits without sacrificing engine performance. In fact,
performance is enhanced! PRI-R reduces emissions while
continuing to deliver all the other benefits it is known for.
• A Cost Effective Solution -
PRI-R
is extremely cost effective to use. Being
applied to fuel at a super concentrated ratio, PRI-R is only a fraction of
the fuel budget.
PRI-R For Motor Ships
| NOx Reduction:
PRI-R
treated fuel was in an RTA Sulzer 12RTA84 powered motor ship and
emissions were monitored. PRI-R provided an
impressive 24% reduction in NOx. |
| SO2 Reduction:
At the same time,
PRI-R reduced emissions of SO2 more than
9.6%, and those of carbon monoxide more than 7.0%. |
| Smoke Opacity
Reduction: On
two cruise ships operating in Alaska, PRI's new PRI-RS
Emissions Control Formula resulted in smoke opacity reductions of
42% and 82% respectively, based on EPA and Alaska State Department
of Environmental Conservation data. |

PRI-R for Package
Boilers
| In a CE package
boiler, PRI-R produced impressive results. NOx
emissions were reduced by 36.1% and SO2 emissions by
27.3%. |
|
PRI-R for Power
Plants
|
PRI-R is highly effective in power plants as well. In this
application, PRI chemistry provided 19.6% reductions in smoke
opacity along with 14.3% reductions in NOx. |

PRI-D
Diesel Treatment For Emissions
Proven Smoke Opacity Reductions:
Since 1992 in
more than 10,000 California Air Resources Board (CARB) mandatory diesel
smoke opacity tests, PRI's PRI-D
treatment for mid-distillate fuels has resulted in an average smoke
opacity reduction of 33%. Based on public transit and school bus fleet
testing, results ranged from 19-to-60% smoke opacity reductions
with PRI-D treated fuel, depending on engine type.
Proven
NOx Reductions:
MSHA
Compliance Tests - Underground Mine:
Results from
mandatory Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) air sampling tests in
underground mines also confirm that usage of PRI-D resulted
in an average 14% reduction of NOx on diesel-powered, underground
mining equipment.
Power
Plant Test - EMD Engines:
In a recent test
of two land-based EMD engines at a power generating facility in Southern
California, PRI-D application to CARB diesel fuel (0.02%
sulfur) resulted in reduced NOx emissons of 6.5-to-7.2% respectively.
Data was recorded by South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD)
continuous emissions monitoring equipment.
#1
National Study:
Additionally, an
independent nationwide study of commercial diesel treatments conducted by
the Pasadena Research Institute confirms that PRI-D is
the most effective diesel fuel treatment in the U.S. for smoke opacity
reduction and fuel efficiency improvement.
PRI-G
Gas Treatment For
Emissions
Proven
HC and NOx Reductions:
The same
chemistry proven to reduce emissions at oil-fired power plants and in diesel
engines has also established a solid record reducing emissions from gasoline
engines. Independent evaluations conducted over the past 30 years have
established that PRI chemistry reduces both unburned hydrocarbons and NOx.
Among the most
recent examples of PRI-G capabilities is a test conducted on a 1988
Buick, six-cylinder engine with more than 150,000 miles on the odometer.
Tested under the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Vehicle
Inspecton Program, this vehicle initially failed to pass minimum state
standards for NOx emissions.
After running on
two tanks of PRI-G treated fuel, the Buick was retested and passed
the test. The results are as follows:
